KNOXVILLE AREA

Mooreland Heights Elementary School

MENTOR PROGRAM
A 3rd-5th grade boys mentorship program that is brand new to Feeding God's Children Ministries! The program was started in the Spring of 2017 and currently supports 13 children.  Volunteers are an essential part of this initiative and are always needed.

PTA/FGC BACK TO SCHOOL
A volunteer-facilitated 'Meet Your Teacher' party includes hot dogs and sweet treats for participants. 

MUSEUM OF APPALACHIA
Volunteer-based chaperone field trip that is sponsor-based.

CUPCAKES AND CRAYONS
Cupcake parties that also provide classroom supplies as needed.

APPALACHIA

Weekend Faith Pack Feeding Programs

A monthly child sponsorship that provides 7 nutritious, child-friendly meals packed and distributed to pre-qualified children each Friday. Food purchased at local food stores to keep funds within the community.

Self-Esteem and Anti-Bullying Programs

Presented annually in spring and fall, these programs include worship music, dancing, contests/prizes, and inspirational messages with student audiences. Volunteer service opportunities are an essential part of these initiatives. 

Back-to-School Event

This partnership with Lighthouse Mission Center in Pineville, KY, and local area churches provides 1,500-2,000 people with gently used clothing, shoes, new school supplies, haircuts, hot dogs, and face painting. Volunteers act as personal shoppers for families, provide activities for kids, and most importantly, pray for and share the gospel with guests.

KNOXCAM Community Music and Drama Event (Early November)

A 100+ troupe consisting of a chamber orchestra, chorus, and actors who present the gospel through worship music and drama. Volunteers assist with ushering, food service and general hospitality.

Emergency Family Food Boxes and Crisis Support

This program provides two large family food boxes stocked at all 6 schools that have weekend feeding programs as well as emergency financial support (on a case-by-case basis) for utilities, gas, bed bug, and lice extermination. 

ED Financial Business Partnership with Frakes School

An employee participation program that provides approximately 150 children with both back-to-school supplies and Christmas gifts.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM                       

A monthly child or village sponsorship that provides food, clothing, medical care, and educational needs in remote, hard-to-reach villages.
