In 2004, Sid and Shannon Kemp, co-founders of Feeding God's Children, visited a church in the midst of one of the poorest and most desperate neighborhoods in Guatemala City as representatives of the Global Outreach Ministry at Two Rivers Church in Lenoir City, TN.  When they saw the living conditions of the children and the dire needs of the community, they were moved by the Holy Spirit to partner with the Guatemalan church and Feeding God’s Children was born.  The feeding program grew quickly to over 250 children that were provided with a nutritious breakfast and bible lesson daily before school.

In June of 2008 Feeding God’s Children became a separate 501(c)(3) foundation. We are a conduit to provide organizational, financial and prayer support for our partners wherever we are called. We currently partner with a Christian school 45 minutes outside of Guatemala City and a ministry in Bell County, KY (Appalachia) where weekend feeding programs provide food to children in six schools. We also partner with schools, organizations and churches in East TN in a variety of special events and feeding programs.
